A Tucson podiatrist stands accused of several prescription drug offenses along with two of her employees. It appears the woman and her staff were writing and filling fraudulent prescriptions at local pharmacies. Arizona is no stranger to drug busts and trafficking stings. We are the gateway between the U.S. drug market and many of the suppliers to our south. The drug trade is alive in well in our nation’s lock up facilities. Drugs and even cigarettes in some systems are a huge industry involving money and the prison hierarchy. According to this short article from the Associated Press, a California man was stopped at the Arizona/Mexican border with liquid methamphetamine filling his windshield wiper fluid tank.
