Being accused of drunk driving is serious enough. But being charged with a high BAC aggravated drunk driving offense offense with 2 preschoolers in the car is another level of criminal offense.  According to the Arizona Republic, that’s just what Mesa police found last weekend, arrested a woman on a drunk driving offense with a 2 year old and 4 year old child in the back seat.

Thirty-eight year old Tonya Obarski of Queen Creek failed a field sobriety test and took a breathalyzer that showed her blood alcohol content to be .24, three times the legal limit. She is now charged with aggravated DUI. [read more...]

Whether you walk into a store and shoplift some new clothes or take something from a friend’s house that doesn’t belong to you, it is theft. If that something involves personal indentifying information that you later use for your own benefits, it could be considered identity theft. Either way, if convicted, you can face serious penalties.

According to this ABC15.com story, a Gilbert man was just recently convicted and sentenced for a crime that began about 12 years ago. Leonal Guerrero used the social security number he stole over 12 years ago from a Michigan man to purchase a vehicle, obtain employment, and get a credit card. [read more...]

An 18 year old woman is facing a slew of charges after causing some serious damage last Friday. Alina Isaac was initially pulled over for driving erratically, fishtailing, and the turning into an apartment complex while disregarding the safety of others.

According to this story from the Arizona Republic, it was after she was initially pulled over that this traffic stop got interesting. Apparently Ms. Isaac refused to shut off her engine and instead turned up her radio and gunned her engine.

After disregarding the officer’s request to shut off the car, she sped off, hitting 5 parked cars, a cable box, and a parked patrol car with an officer inside. Although the officer doesn’t seem to face severe injuries, she will face an assault charge. [read more...]
